Certified Corporate Wellness Specialist

Meaghan Jansen, MSc.

Meaghan Jansen     is the co-founder of Employer’s Edge. She is married to Garth Jansen (President). Meaghan is originally from Saint John, New Brunswick. She acquired a Bachelor of Science (biology and psychology) and a Bachelor of Arts (sport and exercise psychology) at the University of New Brunswick before moving to London.

While at the University of Western Ontario, she completed her Masters of Science in Kinesiology (exercise nutrition) and played as a Mustang on the women’s soccer team. The notion of corporate health snuck into the margins of her Masters thesis. From there, a preventative, proactive model to employee health was developed and has been implemented with various clients around South Western Ontario.

Meaghan continues to expand her knowledge base. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and attends the annual Health and Fitness Summit. She is also a certified personal trainer, nutritionist, and wellness specialist through Can-Fit Pro.

Laura has been involved in the physical fitness and nutrition industry for over 12 years. She considers herself very lucky to be in a profession that embraces healthy lifestyle behaviours. She walks the talk!

Laura has a Recreational Leadership Diploma as well as Can-Fit-Pro certifications in Personal Training and Nutrition & Wellness. She has successfully operated a home-based fitness business in St. Thomas where she resides with her two beautiful children Breanne, 8, and Ryan, 5. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.

Laura is also an avid marathon runner. She has completed 4 marathons and will be training for her next marathon in Boston 2008. Congratulations Laura!

She is very proud and excited to be a part of the Employer’s Edge team.

 

 

Shelley Coletti, Wellness Consultant

Shelley is a Can Fit Pro Certified Personal Trainer Specialist, Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist, and Nutrition and Wellness Specialist. Shelley is a member of the ACSM. She has 30 years of work experience and has operated her own company “Mad about Fitness” for 20 years.

 

She was the Director of 6 Curves Locations before becoming a consultant for Employer's Edge. Shelley has trained semi-pro adult sport teams, youth teams, and individual athletes.

 

Shelley volunteers for many organizations that require her skills. Shelley is also a motivational speaker.

 

She attended Brock University and University of Western Ontario with a major in Physical Education.

 

Meghan Davey, Wellness Consultant

Meghan Davey is an experienced personal trainer and sees a healthy lifestyle as a balance between fitness, nutrition, sleep, stress, work/home life as well as nurturing a positive self-image. Meghan has been working in the wellness industry for over 5 years. Meghan graduated from the University of Guelph with an honours BSc. Bio-Medical undergraduate degree.  

 

Meghan went on to work in a long-term care facility and realized the key to living an independent life was to stay active and mobile. This peaked her interest in prevention so she completed her Can-Fit-Pro Personal Training Certification, Pilates level 1,2,3 certification through Body Harmonics and a Sports Conditioning certification through Twist Conditioning.
 
She quickly realized how strong the mind body connection is and completed a life coaching certification to better understand and help her clients. Meghan’s mission is to help others become their personal best and she looks forward to working with all of you.

 

Debbie Duplan, Wellness Consultant

Debbie has been involved in the fitness industry for over two decades, passionately engaged in the constant search for a way to help others achieve their physical, emotional and mental goals.

 

Debbie is currently a Can-Fit-Pro Certified group exercise instructor, teaching a variety of classes and a Can-Fit-Pro Certified personal trainer at a local gym. She is also a Certified Coach Level I and Level II - gymnastics, Level I and Level II certification for Resist-a-ball, C.O.R.E., and Nutrition & Wellness Specialist.

 

She truly enjoys seeing her clients succeed in their health and fitness goals whether it be weight loss, nutritional assistance, increased flexibility, muscle mass or relaxation exercises to reduce stress.

 

Personal health and fitness has always been a major aspect of Debbie’s life. She competed in gymnastics, taught a variety of group fitness classes, running 10, 12, 15 km road races, ½ marathons and full marathons. She also enjoys skiing, lifting weights, the outdoors (hiking, boating, canoeing, swimming, cycling) and being with her family.

 

Debbie is a mother of three wonderful children and believes that keeping them active is extremely important. The best gift in life is good health.

Rose Koldenhof, Wellness Consultant

Rose is an awesome addition to the Employer's Edge team. She has a passion and enthusiasm for helping people succeed and sharing ideas on living a healthy lifestyle.

 

She began teaching fitness classes back in the early 80's in Scarborough which led to an interest in teaching more. She acquired her FIS (Fitness Instructor Specialist) and began teaching a variety of disciplines for Goodlife Fitness clubs.

 

In 1994, Rose moved to London with her family - husband and three children.

 

Rose also has her ECE (early childhood educator) and is the director of the Orchard Park Nursery School. She spends lots of her time encouraging families to be active! She sure walks the talk.

 

Rose has a positive attitude that is overwhelmingly contagious.

 

Mary Pearson, Wellness Consultant
 
 
 
Mary is registered as a nutritionist with the International Organization of Nutritional Consultants. She is certified: as a personal trainer and nutrition wellness specialist by Can-Fit-Pro and as a coach practitioner by the Certified Coaches Federation. She is an avid reader who writes monthly wellness book reviews. Mary has worked as a personal trainer and teaches nutrition courses to fitness professionals. 
 
After graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University, Mary worked in investment banking, initially developing and implementing risk management systems in Toronto and abroad and then migrating into the trading room. Thereafter, she chose to stay home to raise her children. 
 
Mary has been actively involved in many volunteer organizations, most recently Citizens for Clean Air and Connections (a Halton Health sponsored program promoting raising resilient and responsible teens).  
 
Employer’s Edge is excited to have Mary join the wellness consulting team. Her enthusiasm, knowledge, and professional approach all contribute to an effective wellness consultant in the corporate wellness industry. Welcome Mary!

Laura has graduated from Fanshawe College’s Fitness and Health Promotion program, as well as being a certified CSEP Personal Trainer, CanFitPro Nutrition and Wellness Specialist. 

 

In her role as a wellness consultant, Laura’s contagious enthusiasm for life helps her clients to realize how much they can accomplish.  Her authentic desire to facilitate change and a higher quality of life for her clients, drives Laura to continually update her skills and knowledge.  

 

Laura enjoys running, resistance training, facilitating fitness classes and life with her husband and daughter.

 

 

Donna Rennie, Wellness Consultant

After attending the University of Guelph, Donna started her nutritional career as a Certified Feed Industry Advisor, taking feed analysis and balancing feed rations for dairy cattle. While working with animals is a passion of Donna’s, she expanded her knowledge into the Nutrition and Wellness field in 2002.  It was at this time Donna became a Nutrition and Wellness Specialist, Personal Trainer Specialist and Fitness Instructor through Can-Fit Pro.  Recently Donna was invited to be the PRO Trainer for CanFitPro, teaching the Nutrition and Wellness certification courses at Georgian College in Owen Sound.  She also examines and evaluates students to complete their certification process.

Donna’s natural ability to connect with individuals has helped her clients achieve success and lasting change.  She communicates ideas and concepts in an understandable and motivational approach.  It is with the support of her family, a daughter, two step sons, and helping husband, Donna continues to use energy and enthusiasm to help other’s strive for personal success.
