About Employer's Edge
Mission Statement
“Enhancing wellness, one step at a time.”
Vision Statement
“At Employer's Edge our vision is to create a healthy plan for success with each and every client and to increase employee productivity, boost morale and develop a healthy corporate culture."
Corporate Overview
Employer’s Edge is a London-based wellness company. The company provides its clients with workplace wellness initiatives that result in savings through improved productivity, lowered absenteeism rates, enhanced energy, and decreased health premiums and claims.
For many organizations, medical costs can consume half of the corporate profits, or more. Some employers look to cost sharing, cost shifting, managed care plans, risk rating, and cash-based rebates or incentives. But these methods merely shift costs. At the end of the day, the decisions are to erode coverage for employees or realize a smaller bottom line. Either way, it is a slippery slope.
This is a worrisome trend that Garth and Meaghan Jansen recognized and that led to their founding Employer’s Edge Inc. in 2003. Today, the company is helping companies and organizations develop employee wellness programs that result in savings and improve employee performances.
There is no such thing as a quick-fix approach. The key to Employer’s Edge’s success is the ability to work with employees and individuals on modifying or changing their behaviours. For some it might be a minor habit adjustment, for others it could be a drastic lifestyle change. This model ensures that a wellness program, tailored for each specific company, will achieve maximum benefits.
Keep the healthy, healthy because “disease costs, prevention saves”. Period.
“We are changing the way people think about health. In the corporate world, not only does it result in healthy employees, it results in a productive and profitable workplace. We believe our services are unique in making a difference in the workplace. The phone calls, e-mails, and testimonials we receive every day from our clients, give us confidence that we are accomplishing our goal”, says CEO Meaghan Jansen.
